erinfo.ca is operated by David Ciamarro. In this Privacy Policy, “erinfo.ca”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to David Ciamarro and the erinfo.ca website.
This policy applies to information collected through erinfo.ca, including information collected when you browse the website, create or use an account, grant browser location permission or communicate with us.

Please do not send medical records, detailed medical histories or other sensitive health information to erinfo.ca. The website is not intended to receive or maintain patient medical records.
SECTION 3 - BROWSER LOCATION
Certain features, such as sorting emergency departments by distance or showing facilities near you, may request access to your device’s location.
Location access is optional. Your browser or device will ask for permission before making your location available to the website.
If you grant permission, location information may be processed to calculate approximate distances, identify nearby facilities or sort results according to proximity.
We use location information only to provide the location-based feature you requested. Browser location is not used to determine whether you require medical attention.
You may refuse or withdraw location permission through your browser or device settings. Refusing permission will not prevent you from using the general website, but location-dependent features may not work.
Browser location and distance calculations may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for choosing a healthcare facility during an emergency.

Necessary cookies and similar technologies may be used to:

Analytics, behavioural analytics and advertising
erinfo.ca currently uses Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Microsoft Clarity. These services are configured to load automatically when you visit the website and may place or access cookies and similar identifiers. Their operation may be affected by your browser settings, privacy protections or browser extensions.
At present, erinfo.ca does not provide an on-site cookie-preference panel for controlling these services individually. We are working to implement additional privacy-preference controls.
In the meantime, you may block, restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings and use the privacy and advertising controls offered by Google and Microsoft. Blocking cookies may affect account sessions and other website functionality.
SECTION 6 - GOOGLE ANALYTICS
We use Google Analytics to measure website traffic and understand how visitors use erinfo.ca.
Google Analytics may process information such as:
- page views and website events;
- browser and device information;
- approximate geographic information;
- referral information;
- session information; and
- cookie and device identifiers.
We use Google Analytics reports to understand aggregated website usage, identify popular content, diagnose performance issues and improve the website.

SECTION 7 - GOOGLE ADSENSE
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on erinfo.ca.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses and similar technologies in connection with advertisements displayed on the website.
Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve advertisements based on your previous visits to erinfo.ca or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve advertisements based on visits to this website and other websites on the Internet.
Advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized depending on Google’s systems, your settings, your browser and applicable requirements.

SECTION 8 - MICROSOFT CLARITY
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with erinfo.ca and to improve the website’s design, navigation and usability.
Microsoft Clarity may collect behavioural and technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including:
- pages viewed;
- mouse movements;
- clicks and taps;
- scrolling activity;
- navigation between pages;
- browser, device and operating-system information;
- approximate regional information;
- performance and diagnostic information;
- session identifiers; and
- information used to create heatmaps and session replays.
Clarity session replays are reconstructed from page and interaction information. They are not conventional video recordings captured through your device’s camera.
Input masking is enabled in Microsoft Clarity to reduce the collection of information entered into forms and other potentially sensitive page elements. Passwords and other sensitive account information are not intended to appear in session replays.
We use Clarity data to identify navigation problems, broken interfaces, confusing page elements and other opportunities to improve the website.
Information processed by Microsoft is subject to the Microsoft Privacy Statement .
SECTION 9 - BING WEBMASTER TOOLS
We use Bing Webmaster Tools to monitor how erinfo.ca appears and performs in Bing search results.
Bing Webmaster Tools may provide aggregated information concerning search impressions, clicks, search queries, indexed pages, backlinks, crawling activity, website errors and technical search performance.
Microsoft may receive website-verification information, submitted URLs, sitemap information and other technical information required to provide Bing Webmaster Tools.
Bing Webmaster Tools is not used by erinfo.ca to record session replays or serve personalized advertisements.
Information processed by Microsoft is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement .
SECTION 10 - CLOUDFLARE
We use Cloudflare to improve website security, performance, reliability and availability.
Traffic to erinfo.ca may pass through Cloudflare’s network before reaching our hosting infrastructure. Cloudflare may process technical information such as:
- IP addresses;
- request and response headers;
- requested URLs;
- browser and device information;
- security signals;
- traffic patterns;
- timestamps; and
- information used to detect malicious or automated activity.
Cloudflare may use necessary cookies to manage traffic, provide network services and protect the website from malicious activity.

SECTION 11 - SERVICE PROVIDERS AND COMMUNICATION OF INFORMATION
We may communicate personal information to service providers that assist us in operating, securing, analyzing, hosting or monetizing the website.
These providers may include:
- website and database hosting providers;
- Cloudflare;
- Google Analytics;
- Google AdSense and participating advertising providers;
- Microsoft Clarity;
- Bing Webmaster Tools;
- email-delivery providers;
- backup and security providers; and
- professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
We may also communicate information where reasonably necessary:
- to comply with a law, court order or lawful request;
- to investigate fraud, abuse or a security incident;
- to protect the rights, safety or property of erinfo.ca, its users or another person;
- to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim; or
- in connection with a sale, transfer or reorganization of the website or its operations, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell user-account registration information for money.
SECTION 12 - PROCESSING OUTSIDE QUEBEC
Some of our service providers operate infrastructure in other provinces, the United States and other countries.
Personal information may therefore be communicated, stored or processed outside Quebec and outside Canada. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, governments or law-enforcement authorities as permitted by those laws.
SECTION 13 - RETENTION AND DELETION
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to maintain security, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods vary according to the type of information:
- Account information is generally retained while the account remains active and afterward for the period reasonably necessary to complete account deletion, maintain security records and comply with legal obligations.
- Server, security and access logs are retained according to operational, diagnostic, fraud-prevention and security requirements.
- Communications are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain an appropriate record.
- Analytics, advertising and session-replay information is retained according to our settings and the retention practices of Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare and other applicable providers.
When personal information is no longer required, it is deleted, anonymized or otherwise disposed of securely, subject to legal, operational and technical limitations.
Backup copies may remain temporarily until overwritten through normal backup procedures.
SECTION 14 - SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information we hold.
These safeguards may include:
- encrypted HTTPS connections;
- password hashing;
- access controls and authentication;
- software and dependency updates;
- firewalls, traffic filtering and rate limiting;
- Cloudflare security services;
- logging and monitoring;
- database and infrastructure backups; and
- restrictions on access to administrative systems.
No website, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, disclosure, loss or misuse will never occur.
If we become aware of a confidentiality incident, we will assess it and take the measures required by applicable law.
SECTION 15 - YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you;
- request access to your personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;

SECTION 16 - ACCOUNT DELETION
You may request closure of your erinfo.ca account and deletion of associated personal information by using any account-deletion feature available on the website or by contacting [email protected].
Some information may be retained after an account is closed where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, record keeping, dispute resolution or compliance with legal obligations.
SECTION 17 - CHILDREN
erinfo.ca provides general public information and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 14 years of age.
A child under 14 should not create an account or provide personal information without the consent of a parent or tutor, except where otherwise permitted by law.
If you believe that a child under 14 has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact [email protected] so that we may review and, where appropriate, delete the information.
SECTION 18 - THIRD-PARTY LINKS
erinfo.ca may contain links to hospitals, government bodies, health organizations, maps and other third-party websites.
This Privacy Policy does not govern the privacy practices of third-party websites or services. Review the privacy policy of a third party before providing information to it.
SECTION 19 - CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website, our service providers, our practices or applicable legal requirements.
The effective date displayed at the beginning of the policy indicates when the current version took effect.
Material changes will be brought to visitors’ attention through an appropriate notice on the website or another reasonable method.
SECTION 20 - LANGUAGE
This Privacy Policy is available in French and English. The French version has been made available in accordance with applicable Quebec law.
The French and English versions are intended to have the same meaning. Any discrepancy will be resolved in accordance with applicable Quebec law.
