ABOUT ERINFO.CA
Hi, I’m the creator of erinfo.ca, a site I started in 2019 to help Quebec residents quickly check emergency room wait times and occupancy across the province.
Why I Built This
Like many people, I’ve had to make stressful decisions about going to the ER, not knowing how long the wait might be or which hospital was less crowded. The government does publish this data, but it’s often buried in hard-to-navigate websites or isn’t very mobile-friendly.
In 2019, I decided to create something better: a site that presents the same public information in a cleaner, faster, and more user-friendly way.
Friendly Reminder
This site is for informational purposes only. ER occupancy and wait times can change quickly, sometimes within minutes. The safest and most responsible choice in a medical emergency is always to go to the nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1. Don’t rely solely on this site when someone needs urgent care.
How It Works
erinfo.ca pulls data directly from official public sources, including the Quebec Ministry of Health. The site updates hourly, when new data is available, to give you the most current snapshot possible. I also track trends over time to help identify patterns in ER performance across the province.
This is a fully independent project. I’m not affiliated with the government or any hospital. I live in Quebec and built this tool to make our healthcare data more usable and accessible to everyone.
